Their day was a blend of modern fashion and island tradition. Surrounded by lush greenery and the dramatic Koʻolau Mountains, they said “I do” in a place that let their love shine.

Getting Ready with Meaning and Heart

The morning began in Waikiki. Gloria prepared at the Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel, where soft light filled the room. Her bridal look was fresh and modern, complete with a floral clutch bouquet and delicate lace sleeves.

Kahi got ready at the Hilton Waikiki, surrounded by close friends and laughter. One of the sweetest moments was when Gloria surprised him with a Rolex—a timeless gift to mark the start of forever.

Before leaving for the ceremony, the bride’s mother and maid of honor helped Gloria put on her lei which was adorned with five tiny pieces of blue glass. Each one represented their little family: Gloria, Kahi, and their three cats. Small details like these made their day feel deeply personal and full of love!

A Ceremony Surrounded by Green and Grace

The ceremony took place at The Plant Place, a hidden gem on Oahu. Everywhere you looked, tropical plants and mountain peaks framed the scene.

Their color palette of black, white, and lush greens felt timeless yet bold. It was elegant without losing that natural island charm. The moment they exchanged vows, the whole space seemed to pause—just pure connection beneath the Hawaiian sky.

After the ceremony, guests explored a reception full of thoughtful surprises. There was a temporary tattoo bar, a playful nod to the couple’s creative side. Nearby, an individual cake bar offered personal desserts for everyone.

These small details made the celebration feel unique and interactive. Laughter filled the space as guests mingled beneath string lights and the soft glow of sunset. Every element reflected Gloria and Kahi’s vision—fun, heartfelt, and full of personality.

When the sun began to set, we stepped into the nursery’s sea of plants for portraits. The Koʻolau Mountains stood tall behind them, the light turning golden and soft. In that moment, everything slowed—the air and the laughter.
