This editorial Colorado Elopement at Red Rocks Park will live rent free in my head, FOREVER. Traveling to photograph destination elopements is one of my favorite things, especially when the couple is as dreamy as these two! This October day was more than perfect and Allie and Preston were the stars of what seemed like a romantic movie playing before my eyes.

Southern Belles Meet Rocky Mountains

Allie and Preston are both from Tennessee and had what I thought was only in movies: southern charm. When they came to pick me up (and we met for the first time) Allie came running across the street to wrap me up in a big hug like we’ve known each other for YEARS. Preston was equally as excited for this shoot and loved asking me about myself and getting to know each other.

A Candid & Authentic Colorado Elopement

I strive to serve my couples to the best of my ability, but Allie and Preston gave me a glimpse of what exactly that feels like. They were SO goofy and weren’t afraid to be themselves in front of the crowds in popular tourist areas (like the stick-on mustaches). One of the highlights was our daring quest for the perfect shot through the park’s iconic arch. Despite the constant flow of cars, we put ourselves OUT THERE for the shot! Running through it, while I captured the authentic essence of Allie and Preston. They were such genuine humans that I would die to photograph again!
